The Apple Watch 3 is expected to be launched by the third quarter of 2017. There are speculations that the manufacturer Quanta will focus on improving the battery life instead of the design of the Apple Watch due to the intended cellular connectivity and overall performance of the smart watch.

To fit the device with more features, battery life is a primary concern, Digitimes reported. Quanta is the same company that manufactured the Apple Watch 1 & 2.

Despite rumors that there would be a rounded-version of Apple Watch 3, it seems that the company will not invest much in the overall design, but rather in the features it can offer the customers.

Quanta's "main task" is reportedly improving the battery life of Apple Watch 3. This is because Apple plans to include a cellular feature in the next generation of Apple Watch. Still, Quanta has remained silent about the speculations, Macrumors reported.

The cellular feature of Apple Watch 3 will enable features like making phone calls, sending text messages, and playing data-dependent games such as the much-awaited Pokemon Go.

Aside from cellular connectivity, people also expect the third generation Apple Watch to have more advanced sensors which could help health apps like heart rate monitoring, fitness tracker, and others. The display may also change. There are speculations that the new device may sport a micro-LED display, which could also save lots of battery life.

The Apple Watch 3 is likely to be launched alongside the iPhone 8 sometime in the third quarter of this year.
