Huawei's smartphone manufacturer, Honor, is gradually securing a strong foothold in the U.S. market.
Huawei has launched several devices from the Honor series in the U.S., including the Honor 8 which comes with dual cameras. This time, Honor will add another smartphone in the mix which sports a dual camera feature as well. The good news is that it does not come with the Honor 8's premium price. The Honor 6X was launched in 2016 in China, and it is now coming to the U.S.

The Huawei Honor 6X focuses on filters, according to Honor executives. The millennial generation would have a blast with the Honor 6X even if its dual camera feature is not as stellar as the configuration of the Honor 8. It comes with a 5.5-inch display with a 1080p resolution and features a 2.1 GHz Cortex-A53 octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 655 chip under the hood. It also comes with a Mali-T830 MP2 GPU for graphical performance.
There are two Huawei Honor 6X models: one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage and the other with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The Honor 6X runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system but will be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat this year. The smartphone's storage capacity may be increased up to 256 GB through its SIM 2 slot.
The Huawei Honor 6X comes with a 12 and 2 megapixels dual camera on the back with an 8 megapixels front camera. It also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a microUSB 2.0 port rather than a USB Type-C. The Huawei 6X is priced at $249.99 USD for the basic model and will be available starting Jan. 15 in the U.S. Customers can pre-order the phone now. The Honor 6X will be released in other countries in the future.
