Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy Note 8 in the second half of 2017, and it will reportedly come with 4K display, Bixby personal assistant, an S Pen, and more.
Samsung has a loyal fan base, and some owners would not even return their Galaxy Note 7 despite reports of the device exploding. The company has updated the phablet's software to limit its battery charge to around 60 percent only to force owners to exchange their devices.

There have been speculations that Samsung will discontinue the Galaxy Note line, but a recent report from Business Korea said that the company would release the Galaxy Note 8 with the Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge/Plus in April. These upcoming devices are likely to sport 2K display with UHD and 4K Super AMOLED for better VR capabilities.
"Samsung will introduce 2K resolution displays in the Galaxy S8, but it will use 4K resolution displays in the Galaxy Note 8 to realize improved virtual reality (VR) functions. I heard that it will connect with new Gear VR wearable," a source stated.
There are a lot of rumors about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8, but Samsung has not confirmed any of the speculated specs or features yet. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is said to feature an Exynos 8895 processor and 6 GB of RAM. Other rumored specs include artificial intelligence capabilities and major improvements in storage and camera. It could come with a rear dual camera with 16 megapixels and 8 megapixels sensors and an updated S Pen which may also come with a fingerprint scanner. Samsung may use the removable battery feature again as it needs to be extra cautious with its battery this time.
The company will release the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 earlier in an attempt to win its customers back. It is believed that Samsung will unveil the Note 8 this month during the CES 2017 or at least in the first quarter of 2017. It could be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in March. Many believe that this is not plausible because, based on tradition, the company releases the Galaxy S series models earlier than the Note line.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that Samsung could change the name of the Galaxy Note 8.
