Samsung has been on the news in recent months due to the explosion of its Galaxy Note 7 phablet. The issue forced the company to issue a worldwide recall of the device. However, it appears that the Note 7 is not the only device which can potentially explode. According to Gizmo China, an Apple iPhone 7 Plus smartphone caught fire in China Yunnan province after it was dropped to the ground accidentally.

The iPhone 7 Plus reportedly vibrated severely before emitting smoke. The display came off completely from its body and shattered. Leikeji appears to have first reported on the story and highlighted that the iPhone 7 Plus damage is beyond repair. The iPhone 7 Plus owner said the device was only a month old.
Notably, the iPhone 7 Plus explosion is not similar to the Galaxy Note 7 which exploded when the phone was being charged. The iPhone 7 Plus may have sustained a hard fall, and the shock caused the battery to explode. This seems to be an isolated case, but it is not the first time the iPhone 7 Plus has been reported to explode.
The explosion could have been caused by new hardware. The iPhone 7 Plus features an A10 Fusion chip which works twice faster than its predecessor, the iPhone 6. It is also said to have the longest battery life compared to all its predecessors. The smartphone's audio is said to be twice louder because of its new stereo speaker system. Airpods can be used on the iPhone 7 Plus, but it also comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
There is the Lightning Audio + Charge Rockstar product which allows old headphones to be plugged into a 3.5 mm dongle which will then be plugged into a Lightning adapter that can be plugged into the iPhone 7. The latest Apple flagship phone now has only one Lightning port for all the user's peripheral needs. The iPhone 7 Plus runs on the iOS 10 and features two 12 megapixels rear cameras with a seven megapixels front snapper. It also comes with telephoto and wide-angle capabilities.
