Manila, Phillipines was announced as the venue for the next "Dota 2 Major" big tournament, according to a blog posted by Valve.
Fans of "Dota 2-Shanghai Majors" are now focusing their attention to the upcoming big tournament scheduled on June 2016. Upcoming stars and seeded teams will be seen on the main stage competing to get a chance to join the Manila Major rolls in front of a huge gathering of passionate fans.

According to speculations, the upcoming "Dota 2" Manila Major to be staged in the budding region of Southeast Asia is set to be a huge leap for the popular multiplayer online game. The blog post also stated that this tournament will be the final opportunity for participants to show their determination before the International 2016 tournament starts in mid August in Seattle. According to reports, the prize money pool is set to be a whopping $3 million.
No specific information on the expectations of the fans about the "Dota 2-The Manila Major" was available from the blog posted by Valve. It is anticipated that more news will be available once the Shanghai Major kicks off on Feb. 25 for the group stage fight. The main event is scheduled on March 2 to March 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
The latest news is that, all the 16 teams competing in the tournament has been announced, among which are 8 teams that were invited. The names of the teams that have qualified for the group stage were also announced.
Valve, the developer and publisher of the game, is sponsoring the "Dota 2-Shanghai Major" along with Perfect World, the organizer of "Dota 2 Asia Championship." All eyes are now on The Shanghai Majors, after which comes The Manila Majors, set to be a great event.
