An Android Wear device from LG recently earned certification from the Federal Communications Commission.
The Korean tech company is preparing to unveil its LG G6 smartphone at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain next month. It is possible that LG would launch its new smartwatch that would be paired with the LG G6.
The watch will sport a classical round design based on the images found on the FCC site. The device is expected to support 4G connectivity and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. The smartwatch is expected to work as a standalone device, but can also be connected to a smartphone.
Earlier, there were reports that LG had submitted the names of the four smartwatches to the European Union Intellectual Property Office to be patented. LG's upcoming Android Wear devices are likely to be named Watch Style, Watch Pro, Watch Force, and Watch Sole.
LG new line of smartwatches will most likely have access to the company's Watch Pay payment service.
