The ASUS R558UQ Notebook has been launched in India.

The ASUS R558UQ is an upgraded version of the ASUS R558 Notebook which was launched in June 2016. It boasts of performance upgrades and will come in two models; with the Core i7 and Core i5.

The ASUS R558UQ has a 15.6-inch full high-definition LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 200 nits brightness. It comes with 8GB or 4GB DDR4 of RAM with a dedicated upgradable memory door. It also has 1TB 5400RPM 2.5 HDD storage.

The ASUS R558UQ is powered by a 2.7GHz Intel Core i7-7500U processor / 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-7200U processor. It comes with 2GB NVIDIA GeForce 940 MX (N16S-GTR) graphics on board. It is packed with a battery on the back that can last up to 4.5 hours.

The ASUS R558UQ has a VGA camera on the front for video calling, a 5-in-1 card reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack, and microphone combination. It measures 382 x 256 x 25.5 mm in dimension with a weight of 2.3 kg.

The ASUS R558UQ is equipped with one port each of USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and USB 3.1 Type-C. Other connectivity options are Bluetooth 4.0, VGA port, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, USB Type-C port, and HDMI port.

The ASUS R558UQ is available in glossy dark brown (for the Core i7), matte golden, red and dark blue color (for the Core i5). The i7 variant is priced at $880.20 (around Rs. 59,990) and the i5 at $718.80 (approximately Rs. 48,990). It can be purchased at retail and online stores such as Flipkart and Amazon.
