Lenovo announced the refresh of its Yoga lineup.
Lenovo Lemon 3 was released to customers in China in Jan. 13 and is slated to bring tough competition to Xiaomi, which recently released its flagship model Xiaomi Redmi 3.
Both are budget smartphones with similar specs. Commenting on their similarities, Tech Times reported that both Lenovo Lemon 3 and Xiaomi Redmi 3 have a 5-inch display, a 2GB of RAM, 16 GB internal storage, Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, dual SIM capacity, 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera.

Moreover, both phones are priced at around the same range of CNY 699 (approximately Rs.7000).
Lemon 3 has an all metal build and is considered to be a successor to Lenovo K3. It is available in gold and silver color options. GizChina reported that the inclusion of Dolby Atmos and Maxx Audio features shall make Lemon 3 a delight for music and movie lovers. Lenovo Lemon 3 weighs 142 grams, offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and FM radio.
Indian Express reported, on the other hand, that Xiaomi Redmi 3 comes in a metal body with a textured rear panel. Xiaomi's flagship device is available in gold, silver and dark grey variants. Xiaomi Redmi 3 supports 4G and microSD cards of up to 128 GB. Android Pit mentions that Xiaomi Redmi 3 follows in the footsteps of XiaomiR edmi Note 3 released in November 2015.
Given the close releases and closer specs, choice between these two smartphones is expected to be tough; however, few differences exist between these two flagship models. Gizmo China reported that Xiaomi Redmi 3 offers better battery longevity than Lenovo Lemon 3 as the device have a 2750 mAh battery capacity compared to Redmi 3's 4100 mAh battery capacity.
On the other hand, Lenovo Lemon 3 scores better over Redmi 3 when it comes to display. Xiaomi Redmi 3 has a higher resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels in comparison to Lemon 3's 1080 x 1920 pixels.
At present both, phones are introduced within China alone, and no announcements yet regarding their release outside China.
