Nintendo recently unveiled the new Nintendo Switch at its official coming out party over the weekend. While the Switch is scheduled to be released in March 2017, a hands-on review has shown users what to expect.
Design
According to The Age, the Nintendo Switch represents the merging of both a portable and home console into one device. The Switch can behave like a regular game console when plugged into a TV, but it can be taken out and used on the go with a built-in kickstand.

The Nintendo Switch is small; about the size of a tiny tablet. The front is dominated by a 6.2- inch touchscreen, with a resolution of 720p. It comes equipped with a pair of innovative controllers called "Joy-Con," which can be removed from the sides of the console.
When the Nintendo Switch is used on the go (or in Tabletop Mode), users can simply detach the "Joy-Con" from the sides of the console and turn them sideways to become classic controllers resembling Nintendo's Wii remote.
Specifications and Performance
Despite being small, the Nintendo Switch is very power-efficient. It comes with a custom Nvidia Tegra processor, 32GB of internal storage along with an 802.11 ac Wi-Fi.
Price and Release Date
The Rolling Stone reported that the Nintendo Switch would officially hit the shelves on March 3 in Japan, North America, and Europe. The retail price is estimated to be $299.99. The package comes with two Joy-Con controllers, a Joy-Con grip, a pair of Joy-Con wrist strap, and a dock for plugging the console into a TV screen.
Available Games
Nintendo has announced that 50 companies are working on designing 80 games for the Nintendo Switch. Although there have been no confirmations, the company has revealed two games that would be included in the March 3 release.
It has been confirmed that the "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" would be released for the Nintendo Switch, along with "Super Mario Odyssey."
