The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro smartphone has been introduced in India.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is the latest device from Samsung India announced in Bhubaneswar, India. It can be pre-booked through select stores and online platforms starting Jan. 27. The device comes in two colors; gold and black. It was unveiled in China back in October.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro has a 6-inch full high-definition AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It is the company's first smartphone with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage that can be extended up to a maximum of 256GB via a microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.95 GHz for four cores and the rest at 1.4 GHz laid on top. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro features a 16-megapixel camera on its front and rear. The rear camera sports an aperture of f/1.9 and a dual-LED flash. The selfie camera also has the same aperture and the flash model as the rear camera.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is a dual-SIM (nano + nano) 4G-enabled smartphone.  Other connectivity options are GLONASS, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Beidou, a 3.5mm audio jack, and NFC on board.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is packed with a 4000 mAh battery that supports fast charging. It is equipped with a fingerprint scanner mounted on its physical home button onboard. It measures 162.9 x 80.7 x 6.9 mm in dimension with a weight of 189 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro will be available across all retail channels in the latter half of February 2017 at a price of $541.38 (around Rs. 36,900).
