In an interview with the game producer Masachika Kawata by Express Online, Kawata expressed the company's interest in the game. However, he made it clear that the company presently don't have any plans with regards to "Resident Evil Biohazard." The statement has frowned everyone especially the Nintendo Switch fans who are eagerly waiting to play the horror game with the new mobile platform.
"I'm looking forward to the possibilities of the system itself, but we have no plans at the moment regarding Resident Evil on Switch," Kawata said.
Capcom and Nintendo have a record of being partners in the industry for years, thus people can still assume future plans for "Resident Evil" on Switch. It is also possible in the part of Capcom to be cautious in dealing with Nintendo after the sales disappointment of Wii U. Switch being a new console should be backed with popular games to boost its sales and promotions.
