The Vivo V5 Plus and V5 Lite selfie-focused smartphones have been released in India.
The Vivo V5 Plus was recently made available for pre-orders by a third-party retailer in Malaysia in gold color only. It has a 5.5-inch full high-definition display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It runs on the FunTouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.

The Vivo V5 Plus is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset clocked at a speed of 2.0 GHz on board. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory that can be extended up to a maximum of 256GB via microSD card. It is packed with a 3160 mAh battery that supports fast charging.
The Vivo V5 Plus features a 16-megapixel camera at the back with LED flash. It comes with a dual camera setup at the front that can produce Bokeh effect. It has a 20-megapixel camera with Sony IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor, an aperture of f/2.0 and 5P lens system, as well as the 8-megapixel camera captures depth-of-field information.
The Vivo V5 Lite has a 5.5-inch high-definition IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It runs on the same operating system as the Vivo V5 Plus. It is powered by an octa-core 64-bit chipset laid on top.
The Vivo V5 Lite comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. It packs a 3000 mAh battery and measures 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.6 mm in dimension with a weight of 155 grams. Other connectivity options are 4G, OTG (on-the-go), GPS, Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth v4.0, and USB 2.0 port on board.
The Vivo V5 Lite also features a 13-megapixel camera at the back with an aperture of f/2.2 accompanied with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0 for taking selfies. It also sports a selfie spotlight feature that can create lighting effects required for picture-perfect images.
