It was noted that South Korean tech giant Samsung will be missing this year's Mobile World Congress. On the other hand, another South Korean company is already making a buzz in the tech community about its upcoming flagship smartphone, the LG G6.
According to The Verge, LG is slated to unveil its newest flagship smartphone, the G6, on Feb. 26. Not only did LG confirmed the official debut of the G6, the first live phone of the upcoming phone have also surfaced on several tech forums and news outlets.

LG Display have revealed in the past that the LG G6 will feature a 5.7-inch display, which is a tad larger than most flagship smartphones. Another unusual feature is the phone's 2:1 aspect ratio and a design cue that focuses on having less bezels as possible.
The LG G6 reportedly has a screen-to-bezel ratio of 90 percent, according to CNBC. The photo that have surfaced lately did not reveal the bottom part of the phone, so that also leaves a lot to speculate about.
In terms of display real-estate, the closes competitor that comes to mind is the Xiaomi Mi Mix. Another interesting bit of rumor is that the LG G6 will also feature curved display corners, just like the Mi Mix.
With the G6, LG is ditching the modular design which the company adopted when it released the G5 last year. This time around, LG is rumored to be concentrating more on design with the possibility of having a smartphone made entirely out of metal and glass.
Ditching the modular design has its pros and cons. One vital factor is that the new G6 will most probably ditch the replaceable battery pack now that it is also abandoning the modular design.
The LG G6 is expected to sport a headphone jack, a ubiquitous smartphone feature which Apple decided to ditch with its latest iPhone model. Moreover, the G6 is also expected to sport a dual-camera system, a camera configuration that have been quite popular lately.
