Xiaomi Mi5 Release Date Nears As Foxconn Ramps Up Mass Production – Report
Rumored for February 2016 release date, juicy details of the Xiaomi Mi5 leaked anew that indicate the upcoming flagship from China is something to get excited about. While its maker is yet to confirm anything, speculations are aplenty on what the device will unload soon.

Black and white flavor
In a freshly-leaked photo picked up by 9to5Google, the Mi5 is hinted to come in immaculate white body. This new info came following the recent revelation that Xiaomi intends to roll out the Mi5 in black casing, indicating that the device will hit the store shelves in at least two color options - both shimmering black and white.
Metal casing with Gorilla Glass 4
G4Games said in a report that the Mi5 will likely unpack boasting of metal framing with the premium made accentuated by a front glass display that is coated with Gorilla Glass 4. As can be expected, Xiaomi intends to slug it out with top smartphone players namely Apple, Samsung and LG and the Mi5 build material alone should not disappoint.
Beastly Android phone
Beauty as it is touted to be, the Xiaomi Mi5 is also said to deliver mighty capabilities that will be fired up by the monster Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, which according to rumors will be paired with up to 4GB of RAM. The combo points to a device that is total beast both in muscle and speed.
Top-notch camera system
For its shooting prowess, the Mi5 will certainly impress with a main camera that is described by 9to5Google as a 6-element mechanism with 16-megapixel lens. The front-facing shooter is more than selfie-friendly at 8-megapixel.
Upscale specs
Providing the energy juice to the Xiaomi Mi5 is a massive 3600mAh battery pack that should be sufficient for day-long operation while the storage space configuration is more than decent, coming in 16GB and 64GB variants.
The device will also feature a rear-located fingerprint sensor, which is now standard flagship smartphone offering with Google's Android operating system natively supporting the feature.
The Xiaomi Mi5 release date is believed to take place right after its Chinese Lunar New Year this coming February 2016 or no later than the 21st of the month.
