As reported by Space, the 28 feet - wide asteroid is the second asteroid of almost the same size as the first that fly by Earth three weeks ago. It was revealed that the "Asteroid 2017 BX - Rerun" was only discovered 5 days before its target bypass to earth. It was on January 20, 2017 that NASA had discovered the asteroid and its path.

There are theories that asteroids are materials that are left out while the solar system had been formed. Jupiter, with its strong gravitational force is known to be the main reason that had prevented the asteroids, including "Asteroid 2017 BX - Rerun's" formation into a planet.

"Asteroid 2017BX - Rerun" is just one among NASA's interest of study in space according to LiveScience. The space agency has been studying asteroids and its next mission is to unearth the hidden attributes of many asteroids in the Asteroid Belt. Among the agency's projects is Psyche, which will embarked on an investigation of the asteroid named Psyche 16. Meanwhile, Lucy is targeting the Trojan asteroids in Jupiter's orbit.

Most of the asteroids are found in the main asteroid belt, however they are distributed largely in the solar system. "Asteroid 2017BX - Rerun" is one among the known Near-Earth Asteroids or NEA. These are the asteroids that can harm us if it will land to our planet. For more updates on asteroids, stay tuned to Telegiz.
