From Game Mode to Gaming settings, the new Windows 10 Build 15019 ended up buggy

Just this week, Microsoft rolled out the Windows 10 Build 15019 for those who participate in the Windows Insider Program. The new build is optimized with Gaming in settings that is much similar to Game Mode.

There are also several features added in the build like voice-supported eBook reading and colored emojis to name a few. The only problem? Despite its newly added features, Windows 10 Build 15019 has plenty of bugs that annoyed a lot of users during and after the update.

From Game Mode to Gaming settings

Following the earlier preview of the build 15019, the new Build 15019 delivered almost the same improvements, especially with the Game Mode. But this time around, a new Gaming section is added to the Settings app. The new section will include settings for Game Mode with the addition of the GameDVR and Game bar.

According to Venture Beat, the newly added settings will allow gamers to do game streaming with Beam and support 17 games in full-screen mode like "The Elder Scrolls Online," "FIFA 17," "Left 4 Dead 2," "Paragon," "The Sims 4" and "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" to name a few.

A slew of other features

Take a look at the video from Windows Central to understand the new Windows 10 build better:

Aside from the Gaming settings, Microsoft also added plenty of useful features for non-gamers. Users can now read e-Books by "listening" to it with the newly added button in the top right corner of opened e-Books. The scroll wheel can also be used for zooming. Emojis are also supported better in full color instead of the usual black and white rendering. Color temperatures on Windows are also improved with the Lower Blue Light option now known as Night Light. But even with plenty of new features, Windows 10 Build 15019 has too many bugs making it annoying to most users.

Bugs that spoil the fun

Even if Windows 10 Build 15019 sounds great with it being optimized for games, PC World reported that the bugs that come with it also spoil the game fun. The annoying bugs not only break games by crashing, users are also likely to see just black screens during loading time. Some games become unplayable when certain elements of the game are clicked.

The Game Mode is also always on the OFF mode when it has been enabled by default. Worst, there is a download glitch where users do not see the download bar progressing even when the update is already downloading. As Microsoft puts it, they recognize that the new build is indeed buggy. But they have to release it to get the necessary feedback from Insiders and make improvements.
