The OPPO A57 smartphone has been unveiled in India and will go on sale on Feb. 3.
The OPPO A57 is the latest mid-range smartphone from the Chinese mobile manufacturer OPPO. It was released in China in November last year with a price tag of $237.01 (around Rs. 16,000 or 1599 yuan).

The OPPO A57 sports a unibody metal design with rounded corners. It has a 5.2-inch high-definition IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection from scratches and drops laid on top.
The OPPO A57 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 chipset under the hood clocked at a speed of 1.4 GHz and coupled with Adreno 505 graphics processing unit. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow based in-house ColorOS 3.0 operating system out of the box.
The OPPO A57 comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in memory that can be further extended up to a maximum of 256GB via microSD card slot. It is packed with a 2900 mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support using the patented VOOC flash charge technology.
The OPPO A57 features a 13-megapixel camera at the back with an aperture of f/2.2, LED flash, and phase detection autofocus. It is accompanied with a whopping 16-megapixel selfie front camera with an aperture of f/2.0.
The OPPO A57 measures 149.1 x 72.9 x 7.65 mm in dimension with a weight of 147 grams. It is equipped with a physical home button on the front embedded with a fingerprint scanner to give security. It also comes with a distance sensor, G-sensor, E-compass, and light sensor.
The OPPO A57 supports dual SIM dual standby and offers VoLTE to use the Jio 4G SIM. Other connectivity options are USB OTG (on-the-go), micro USB 2.0 port, 4G, Bluetooth v4.1, 3.5mm audio port, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and GPS on board.
The OPPO A57 is priced at $222.05 (approximately Rs. 14,990) in India and will be available in gold color only.
