The return of a familiar face

"Episode Gladiolus" gives players a chance to play as the fan-favorite bodyguard Gladiolus. Another familiar "Final Fantasy" character will be making his debut on "Episode Gladiolus."

This character is none other than the iconic Gilgamesh, who's strangely absent in the main "Final Fantasy 15" game. Gilgamesh has always been a series-staple in "Final Fantasy" games and has frequently appeared since the first game.

For the next DLC "Episode Prompto", it has been reported that it's scheduled for a June release date. While the last DLC "Episode Ignis" has no release date yet at this moment, according to USGamer.

Future DLC and updates explained

Meanwhile, a report from Express gives some insight on the future of Final Fantasy 15 DLC's and updates via an interview with the game's director Hajime Tabata. The "Final Fantasy 15" director clarified some points in terms of free updates and paid DLC's.

"We will continue to update a single-player game(sic)", Tabata added. The director explained that the free updates will improve the main game, while the paid DLC's will add some new content to enjoy.

Tabata also shared that "Final Fantasy 15" will be getting an "updated roadmap" soon. The game will also be running in-game events such as the current Moogle Chocobo Carnival Event that runs until February 20.

Update events will add new features such as carnival games and chocobo races. These extend the core game's lifespan, something Tabata wanted to continue as a "new trend" in the future of the series.
