A new report suggests that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will feature larger non-removable batteries a capacity of 3,250 mAh and 3,750 mAh respectively. Details about the flagship smartphones continue to leak, and a recent render was published, showing a detailed view of the Infinity display and a hardware button on the side which is said to be for the new AI virtual assistant, Bixby.

Samsung is expected to launch two Galaxy S8 models: one with 2K 5.7-inch display and another with a 6.2-inch 4K screen called Galaxy S8 Plus. Both devices are expected to feature curved Super AMOLED displays with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160, and a pixel density of 806 pixels per inch (ppi). Samsung could also remove the headphone jack from the upcoming phones. Recent leaks revealed an embedded fingerprint scanner as well.

The Snapdragon 835 chipset will be used in the Galaxy S8. The new processor is expected to power most high-end smartphones released in 2017. It deploys the company's 10 nm FinFet process node that ensures top caliber performance. It is efficient and will enhance battery life, consuming 25 percent less power than its predecessor. The processor also comes with Bluetooth 5.0 support.

Samsung is said to still be in the development stage of the upcoming Galaxy S8. The Galaxy S8 might not have dual cameras. It will come with an 8 MP front camera with auto-focus technology as well as a front iris scanner which is borrowed from the Note 7.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will reportedly be present at Mobile World Congress 2017 but will not be displayed to the public. The devices will be launched on March 29 and will have a higher price than their predecessors. The South Korean tech giant has not given any concrete information about the Galaxy S8 apart from announcing that the flagship phone will have a slick design, improved rear camera, and enhanced artificial intelligence through a personal assistant called Bixby.
