'Zelda: Breath Of The Wild' Creator Talks in-Game Companions, Link's Last Name and Some Life Secrets

The "Zelda: Breath Of The Wild" creator shared some intriguing tidbits about his upcoming game, along with some valuable life lessons. Since the announcement of the Nintendo Switch, fans have had their eyes on the latest Zelda game.

Fortunately, the people behind the "Zelda" series shed more light on their upcoming title during an interview with GameInformer. "Zelda: Breath Of The Wild" creator Shigeru Miyamoto and producer Eiji Aonuma answered some interesting gaming and non-gaming related questions.

Aonuma revealed that "Breath Of The Wild" is indeed the toughest game they have made so far. According to Gamespot, Link's trusty horse Epona would make an appearance in the game.

Aonuma also teased that a wolf would be another one of Link's in-game companions. The Zelda producer further revealed that they might release a "Paper Mario" version of Zelda called "Paper Zelda."

A paper version of Zelda certainly sounds like an interesting spin-off considering "Paper Mario" was such a success. As for the timeline, "Zelda: Breath Of The Wild" creator Miyamoto revealed that the game takes place after "Ocarina Of Time."

The Zelda creator also addressed the issue of Link's last name which he responded: "it's just like Mario." Both the creator and the producer laughed it off saying that his name might even be "Link Link." In the end, the "Zelda: Breath Of The Wild" creator concluded that Link is not human, suggesting that he might not even need a last name.

Finally, the minds behind Zelda were asked what they think is the secret of living a happy life. Aonuma answered "forget everything" is the key to a happy life.

The "Zelda: Breath of The Wild" creator advised the public to "enjoy everything" in life. Those are some interesting and quite soundly advice from the creative minds behind the beloved Zelda franchise.
