Verizon is launching a new introductory unlimited plan to attract new customers.
The largest U.S. wireless provider will unveil Verizon Unlimited to mobile users, offering them unlimited data on smartphones and tablets. It will allow its customers to keep their current plans or choose the $80 monthly plan for a single line with unlimited data, talking, and texting. It will allow the addition of four lines for $45 per month for each line.

In addition to the video streaming, hotspot and calls to both Mexico and Canada, Verizon will offer 22GB of data on a line during any billing cycle. However, exceeding the 22GB of data will let the company reduce the client’s speed during the high-traffic hour.
“Verizon is offering something nobody else can: The unlimited plan you want on the wireless network you deserve,” Ronan Dunne, president of Verizon's wireless division, said in a statement.
Verizon’s new plan starts at $80 for one line and will increase up to $180 for four lines. In comparison with other networks, unlimited plan of Sprint begins with $60 per line and goes up to $150 for four lines; T-Mobile's unlimited plan starts at $70 and goes up to $160 for four lines; and AT&T’s unlimited plan begins at $100 for the first line and only to clients who are DirecTV satellite subscribers.
In 2011, Verizon ceased its version of an unlimited usage plan and launched tiered data buckets where users share data with other members of their family. Verizon is not the only mobile carrier that throttles customer speed. AT&T is also throttling client speeds once they reach the data limit on their plans.
The American mobile carrier has brought back the data-usage plans in summer last year, introducing “Safety Mode” plan. It allows clients to access unlimited data but still subjected to slow speed after exceeding their allotted data.
The company will continue to offer certain bucketed data plans for clients who not much into data plans. It includes $35/2GB and $50/4GB for lighter users as well as prepaid plan with 5GB for $50/month with limited carryover feature.
