The story follows a skilled hunter named Aloy of the Nora tribe. The tribe has been massacred by an unknown group of masked people. Aloy defies her tribe's advice about praying to the Goddess for help and decides to find out the truth by herself. She leaves her sacred land and heads towards Meridian to solve the mystery, a land where an enemy leader is raising ancient machines to take back what he believes to be his, by taking control of the machines roaming the land.
According to the synopsis of the game, the player is supposed to take "on the role of Aloy and go on to explore a vibrant and lush world inhabited by the mysterious mechanized creatures, a compelling and emotional journey which will help Aloy unravel mysteries of tribal societies, ancient artifacts and advanced technologies and determine the fate of this planet, and of life itself." The enemy is also creating something larger that threatens everyone's existence. The game explores the juxtaposition of a primitive world of hunters and advanced technology.
If the game is pre-ordered, the buyer will get a weapon and armor modifications with the Nora Machine Trapper Pack. "Horizon Zero Dawn" will debut on February 28, 2017. A copy of the game can be ordered by clicking here.
