Although "Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls" patch 2.4.0 was released on Jan. 12, gamers are already discovering glitches and performance issues. Most of these issues are confined within the console gaming platform.
Some gamers who have opted to update their "Diablo 3" game with the latest 2.4.0 patch have noticed a significant drop on frame rates, according to Tech Times. Some gamers have also reported major input lags.

It appears that the glitch only affects console gamers since no major complaint had been recorded coming from PC users.
The 2.4.0 patch for "Diablo 3" was considered as one of the major updates the game has ever received. Gamers and critics alike have praised the new Greyhollow Island area. However, the fun appeared to be short-lived as console gamers started to swarm social networking sites complaining not only about frame rate drops but also claims that the game crashes once the installation of the patch is completed.
One of the most bizarre glitches coming from gamers is a complain claiming that frame rate drops significantly even if nothing is happening on the screen.
Gamers took their frustrations over to Blizzard Battlenet forums and have their concerns expressed to the technical people. It appears that the glitch affects not only gamers in North America but also in European regions.
Some gamers thought that the frame rate drop might have something to do with server issues. However, some gamers claim that they experience the problem even if they are not playing online.
Blizzard, "Diablo 3" developer, has yet to fix the issue but the company has already acknowledged the problem and promises to release a patch as soon as possible in order to fix it.
Battlenet community manager Nevalistis posted a workaround to fix the issue in the Battle.net forum, "It came to our attention that the amount of remaining storage on your system might impact this issue. Just to make sure we're looking at every possible cause, please let us know how much storage space you have remaining if you are experiencing this issue."
Blizzard is still working on finding the real cause of the issue. The company is asking help from community members and gamers in order to get to the bottom of the issue and ultimately fix it.
