Bethesda's Todd Howard is praising Nintendo for its effort to incorporate third party support in the upcoming Nintendo Switch. The game developer has been concerned over the feature after it confirmed that it would provide games for the new console.

In an interview, Howard said, "I think it's really smart what they've done. I think it's the kind of device that only Nintendo could make. It's exciting to bring Skyrim to the Nintendo audience."

Bethesda's first entry on the Nintendo Switch platform is "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition." As the well-known developer of the "The Elder Scrolls" and "Fallout," it's surprising that it is only now that Bethesda is making an entry into the platform. In the past, Nintendo has reportedly not been so keen on including one of Bethesda's game on the platform.

Howard acknowledged Nintendo's effort to make things easier for Bethesda. From incorporating third party support to having renewed interest in the type of games developer makes. He also added that while he cannot assure fans that "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" will be a hit on the Nintendo Switch, he is confident that it would prove to be an excellent game.

A remastered version of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" has been released on the PC, Xbox One, and PS4. It is set for release on the Nintendo Switch is during the fall. Unfortunately, no specific date has been set for the release of the game. Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch is set to be released on March 3. Some of the games included on the new platform are "The Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild," "Dragon Quest XI," "Mario Kart 8," "Sonic Mania" and "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2."
