New "Overwatch" update notes that the highly anticipated Doomfist won't be the game's next character but new leaks hint at another hero. Activision Blizzard's competitive First-Person Shooter is once again garnering some much needed attention.
"Overwatch" Director Jeff Kaplan is very much aware of the hype surrounding Doomfist. However, the "Overwatch" Director shot down the rumors that Doomfist would be the game's next upcoming hero.

According to Gamespot, Kaplan mentioned that "Overwatch" hero number 24, is not who the fans think it is. This builds a sense of mystery surrounding the game's next character.
While Doomfist's appearance is still pretty much up in the air, fans will be getting an entirely different 24th hero in the game. Actor Terry Crews expressed his enthusiasm in voicing Doomfist.
As a matter of fact, Crews even campaigned for the spot of voicing the powerful gauntlet-wearing character. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait longer before Doomfist actually appears, maybe Blizzard might even be negotiating with Crews leading to the delay of Doomfist's debut.
Even if this "Overwatch" update notes that Doomfist might take a while, it doesn't stop fans from speculating about the identity of the next hero. According to PCGamesN, there are clues leading to Greek actor Alex Malaos' appearance on "Overwatch."
Some fans speculate that Malaos will be the next hero in "Overwatch." Although the Greek actor denied these allegations stating that he's "not a Greek hero."
However, Malaos did confirm that he was still recording some "background lines" but he doesn't know what Blizzard intends to use these recorded lines for. Though it's not confirmed by the developers, but these lines could be partially used for the next hero, so it's anybody's guess at this point.
The source mentioned that the chances of the next "Overwatch" hero to be Greek is "entirely plausible." After all, there are numerous in-game hints like the game's Greek setting, the only thing missing now is an actual Greek character. Fans will have to wait for the next "Overwatch" update notes to confirm if any of these speculations hold true.
