New and Returning Content
Blizzard, in its most recent Q&A, has offered snippet of information with regard to the content of Rise of the Necromancer expansion for "Diablo 3". While there are returning features, players will see new additions and some will also be removed.
First off, it has confirmed the return of Necromancer's pets or minions in the next DLC for the popular hack and slash game. It is noted further that there are summons that will be temporary while the others are made permanent but both these pets/minions will let the hero give damage to the group of enemies.
In addition, Rise of the Necromancer DLC for "Diablo 3" will include from four to five golems as one of the Necromancer's summons. However, the latest expansion will exclude specific skills like Iron Maiden and poison-based spells used by the Witch Doctor class.
The exclusion of such, according to Ubergizmo, is how Blizzard tries to separate the two classes from each other. The new expansion is made distinct from the version released for "Diablo 2", which serves as a kick off to the game's upcoming adventure.
Release Date and Price
Sadly enough, the game developer did not make an official announcement of the release date and price of Rise of the Necromancer expansion for "Diablo 3". "We won't be talking today about the launch date or pricing. Those things just aren't ready yet," Community manager Brandy Camel said.
However, it is possible to have same price of Reaper of the Souls, which costs $19.99 and $39.99 for digital deluxe edition, Tech.Mic reported. As for the release date, speculations are making the rounds online that it will arrive around spring this year.
Lastly, Blizzard Entertainment has also stated that in order to play Rise of the Necromancer expansion on PC, they must both have the copy of "Diablo 3" and "Reaper of the Souls" expansion.
