The NASA news today shows that a potentially major discovery could be unveiled to the public, such as alien life or a habitable planet like our own. This generation is truly a new age of discovery.
Within the past decade, NASA has discovered a myriad of stars and galaxies beyond the milky way. Now, the aerospace corporation is hoping to reveal a "major discovery" to the public via their website and TV show.

According to BBC, there are a multitude of possibilities as to what this discovery might be. NASA stated that this major discovery is news from "beyond our solar system."
The NASA news today indicates that there would be a thorough investigation or explanation for the supposed exoplanets surrounding us. This has major implications on discovering life in places that are light-years away from our home.
All signs point toward the discovery of new alien life, or at least a possibility of discovering it. The discovery might have something to do with the confirmation of bodies of water found in a planet beyond our solar system
If this is the case, then this leads us to a potential NASA news unveiling a new Earth-like planet. Of course, with planets displaying Earth-like properties, it's highly likely that it will be inhabited by living, breathing lifeforms as well.
This also leads us to the likelihood of the NASA news today, to be about the discovery of alien life. While this might be an exciting thought, NASA is known to obfuscate information to the public so we shouldn't hold our breath on this one.
According to CNN, we are reaching a "Golden Age" of discovery when it comes to uncovering a plethora of exoplanets within the past years. In fact, in 2016 alone there had been numerous discovered exoplanets.
The source mentioned about the discovery of planets we only see or hear about in SciFi movies. With these latest discoveries within the past decade, it would be hard to believe that we are all alone in this massive and expansive universe.
