The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones on the U.S. carrier Sprint have received the Android 7.0 Nougat update. These devices were recently updated on the rival carriers AT&T and T-Mobile.
Beta Nougat users on Sprint are getting the 167MB care package on their Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices. They can navigate through Settings and click the Software Update to get the Software Manual Download update manually. For those outside the beta circle, the Android 7.0 Nougat full version can be downloaded but will be more substantial in size with the weight of around 1.2GB.

Both Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are still two excellent options for this year. They have a similar display resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. They also have the same memory of 4GB RAM and storage of 32 or 64GB that can be further extended up to a maximum of 200GB via microSD cards.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are powered by the Samsung Exynos 8890 chipset. They feature the same 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and 4K video recording capability accompanied with a 5-megapixel camera on the front. They can reach 12 hours of mixed battery usage, similar to Apple's iPhone 6s Plus.
The differences between Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are the display size, dimensions, weight, and batteries. Galaxy S7 has a 5.1-inch display at 577 pixels per inch. It weighs 152 grams and is packed with a 3000 mAh battery.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has a bigger 5.5-inch display at 534 pixels per inch. It has a curved screen OLED display with a flexible plastic substrate to view notifications and control from both the front and the sides. It weighs 157 grams and is packed with a massive 3600 mAh battery.
