The Nintendo Switch video game console, which is the company's seventh major home console, was officially unveiled on October 20, 2016, and is scheduled for release worldwide on March 3, 2017.
Nintendo recently announced that any digital purchases made on the upcoming Nintendo Switch console are tied to the Nintendo account, rather than the specific piece of hardware. It seems that there is currently no way to download software on multiple systems. At a recent preview event, Nintendo Entertainment Planning & Development General Manager Shinya Takahashi confirmed that, as of right now, there is no way to play digital purchases on multiple Nintendo Switch setups.

According to ArsTechnica, the Nintendo Switch will link eShop purchases to a portable online account (unlike the Wii, Wii U, and 3DS, which locked purchases to a specific piece of hardware). However, this feature apparently does not extend to downloading games on multiple Switch systems at the same time.
"Currently we don't have a system like that in place for Nintendo Switch, but we haven't made any final decisions about how we would approach that going forward in the future, so, unfortunately, I can't provide any concrete answer for you right now," Takahashi said.
A lot of unboxing videos out there! We'll probably do one when it launches with everyone else-- and whatever footage you guys wanna see! pic.twitter.com/fZPbdOwMlF — Nintendo Switch (@NinSwitchNews) February 23, 2017
