Google Ideas: Conflict in a Connected World (YouTube/Jigsaw)
The anti troll software developed by Google is the solution to the incessant trolling within the internet. Google's software called Perspective, hopes to filter out and rate comments that are deemed "toxic."
Earlier reports show that people can now teach Google how to properly pronounce their names. According to Cnet, users can now spell their name out to the Google Assistant by using phonetics.

The first step in teaching Google AI to properly pronounce names is finally getting taken care of. Now the next step is teaching AI to determine whether or not internet comments are actually trolling.
This is where Google's Perspective AI comes in, which is developed by the company's Jigsaw division. According to TheVerge, the anti troll software isn't exactly new since this type of software was already being used back in 2010.
However, Google recently decided to make the Perspective software available for developers to tinker with. As a matter of fact, the source mentioned that there are sites such as The Guardian and The New York Times, who are already testing out the anti troll software.
Although one can't really expect relatively new technology to immediately perform with pinpoint accuracy. Google's Perspective is of no exception to this, as the anti troll software still has a lot to learn.
The source mentioned that Perspective sill has some problems with being accurate in determining "toxicity" levels in comments. For example, it's reported that Perspective wasn't able to properly determine negative or sexist comments as something that's considered "toxic."
Google's anti troll software only gave a small percentage of toxicity to a comment that's blatantly offensive. It seems that the algorithm of the anti troll software still needs some time to develop before it becomes an efficient tool against trolling.
