"Halo 5" failed to impress when Microsoft launched it without the split screen feature. It's one of the anticipated features of the game that presents a multiplayer feature. Now, it looks like Microsoft is heeding the needs of its fans by bringing back the split screen feature. In a recent statement by 343 Industries' Bonnie Ross, he said: "For any FPS going out forward, we will always have split-screen in."

Meanwhile, the upcoming "Halo 6" is expected to feature the split screen. After it was previously announced by the developer that it had not made the cut, the franchise faced the challenging battle of promoting its games and actually make the sale. Now, players who have been previously disappointed by the news can be assured; it's going to be back.
According to Ross, the removal of the split screen feature basically put 343 Industries on the receiving end of betrayed fans. The move significantly erased the whole community's trust in the developer.
2015 seemed like forever when 343 Industries announced the launching of "Halo 5" that the split screen feature will not be part of the game. Inquiries about it as well as comments were not immediately answered. Adding to the disappointment is the developer's reluctance whether the feature will ever return or not.
The game, particularly "Halo 5" become divisive at the expense of its fans. While some did not mind the removal of the split screen feature, others took the high road of letting the developer know, they were disappointed with the decision. Today, it looks like their effort is heard after it was announced that split screen is returning.
