Chris Redfield has been confirmed to be coming back as a playable character in "Resident Evil: Not A Hero" DLC.
"Resident Evil 7: Not A Hero" DLC would feature Chris Redfield, and the best thing about it is that players will be able to play as the former "Resident Evil" protagonist again. The upcoming content will feature a "separate story" focusing on Redfield, and Capcom is teasing fans about what he could be up to.

The official "Resident Evil" Twitter account confirmed the news that the "Resident Evil 7" DLC would feature Chris Redfield along with a couple of screenshots. The tweet also confirmed that Redfield is chasing something, but it is unknown who or what.
"Chris Redfield returns in the free "Not A Hero" DLC for #RE7 this Spring. Who or what is he chasing? Find out soon in this separate story," the tweet reads.
Fans of the franchise first saw his comeback at the end of "Resident Evil 7," where he arrived in a helicopter and rescued the main character Ethan Winters from the Baker family and Eveline.
There were some doubts over whether he is the same Chris Redfield that fans knew from the previous games as his face seems different and he is wearing an Umbrella Co. uniform. Now, all doubts have been cast aside with the news that he is the "Resident Evil" protagonist that fans knew and loved, PC Gamer reported.
The "Not A Hero" DLC will be "Resident Evil 7's" third content, following "Banned Footage Vol. 1" and "Banned Footage Vol. 2." Unlike the first two, though, that are paid DLCs, the third content can be downloaded for free.
"Resident Evil 7" and its two DLCs are available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. "Not A Hero" will be available for all platforms as well this Spring. A specific release date and more information are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
