A new source claims that "Assassin's Creed Empire" will not take place in Ancient Egypt but in Classical Greece.
An newly leaked image seems to suggest that Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed Empire" is set in Ancient Egypt. While there are details accompanying the leaked photo, it appears that it belongs to the next title in the action-adventure video game from Ubisoft.
The long time favorite guesses of the fans the setting of the new Assassin's Creed game is the ancient Egypt. The rumors from last year also suggested that the new title is called Empire, which is on the process of development at Ubisoft Montreal studio, according to Metro. This is also the studio where Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was developed, and the new title is said to have a kind of a "Witcher feel" design.

It was further revealed then that such speculation indicates a map that is three times larger than the size of Black Flag. However, it doesn't a naval combat, no co-op and smaller in the way of Parkour.
The image went around via Reddit but critics cannot decide whether the image is real or not, especially that there were recent leaks that look real but it is now easy to fake images such as this. But if the screenshot is authentic, the report says that it seems to show some sort of a Greek warrior based on the design of the shield.
It may suggest that the time is set during the Ptolemaic era of Egyptian rule and it may also feature Cleopatra in the game. It would also match the Empire codename and the symbol on the shield might be of the Assassin's. The clothing that appears by the back of the character's neck could be the symbolic hoodie of an Assassin.
In addition, according to Game Zone, the arm bracers and hidden blade have some similarities with Adewale's hidden blade bracers. But again, if this is an authentic "Assassin's Creed Empire" image, players have to wait for it to be verified.
