General Mobile GM6; The Newest Android One Smartphone in Partnership with Google
General Mobile had just announced their latest smartphone under Google's Android One Series, the General Mobile GM6.
The General Mobile GM6 is a budget-friendly smartphone which has been made in partnership with Google features the latest software and security updates straight from Google through the Android One Platform. The Android One platform pushes Google's Android operating system into budget-friendly smartphones, enabling the users to experience first-hand Android updates directly from Google.

The General Mobile GM6 is a 5-inch device with a metal frame around the body. It features a 720x1280 pixel resolution and a density of 294 PPI on a 5-inches 2.5D curved IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T SoC and comes with 3 GB of RAM.
The GM6 has 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128 GB via MicroSD card. A decent 13 megapixels camera is embedded on the rear and an 8-megapixels camera on the front with flash on both sides. The device has a 3000mAh battery capacity and is powered by the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.
Unlike the previous Android One devices, the General Mobile GM 6 will now feature a fingerprint sensor embedded in the physical home button which General Mobile stated that unlocks the device in just 0.2 milliseconds. Other specifications include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and 4G LTE connectivity.
The device also has sensors such as compass magnetometer, proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope. Pricing and availability of the device have not been announced yet but it is not expected to go any higher than $250 since Android One's top priority is to offer low-cost phones with a pure and updated Android experience for users all over the world.
