"Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands'" developer Ubisoft has held multiple betas for the game which includes both closed and open betas. Now, the first military shooter game developer has confirmed that more than 6.8 million people took part in them. This apparently has set a new record for the "biggest beta phase" in Ubisoft's history, even beating "The Division's" beta's record of 6.4 million players.

Ubisoft has also verified some stats of "Ghost Recon: Wildlands'" beta, which also includes the fact that gamers played for more than two billion minutes as well as over 60 percent of people played cooperatively. The closed beta ran from February 3 to 6, while the open beta took place from February 23 to 27.
More so, there was also a technical beta. The said beta allowed players fight through two of "Ghost Recon: Wildlands''" 21 Bolivian provinces.
Wildlands has the largest world that Ubisoft has ever made. According to Ubisoft, each beta allows players to give valuable feedback to their development team to not only help them improve the game but also help them deliver the best gaming experience at launch, GameSpot reported.
A Unidad Conspiracy bonus will be given to everyone who took part in the "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" beta. The bonus will come with exclusive missions that will take place in the Media Luna region. Sometime after the game comes out on March 7, these missions will be available. To claim the said reward, players have to purchase and play the upcoming game by March 31 on the same Ubisoft account as the beta.
Meanwhile, Ubisoft has recently announced a "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" novel titled "Dark Waters." It is written by Richard Dansky, the "Tom Clancy" author, and will be published by Ubisoft's book division. It is a $10 book that tells the story of how the Special Force soldiers, known as Ghosts, came to know each other before all of the happenings in the game.
Lastly, Ubisoft announced recently that the "Ghost Recon" franchise had sold more than 24 million units. On the other hand, a movie based on the franchise is in the works.
"Ghost Recon: Wildlands" is slated to be launched on March 7 and will be playable on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
