Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that affects the behavior of a person. Scientists discovered that this mental illness can be detected in the development of a child's brain during pregnancy.

The researchers discovered the method on how to detect Schizophrenia during pregnancy stage. The process involves four patients with Schizophrenia; all of them came from a diverse genetic background. The skin cells of these patients will be reverted into the cell that is responsible for the child's nervous system development in the mother's womb. These cells will be observed and compared to the cells created similar to healthy patients, based on the study of Schizophrenia Research.
In addition, the authors of the study said that the gathered result indicates that Schizophrenia is programmed during the early stage of life. Specifically, the genomic pathway named Integrative Nuclear FGFR1 Signaling (INFS), the intersection point for multiple pathways in which 100 genes were said to be related to Schizophrenia. Any genes linked to the mental illness will entirely affect the development of the brain, this is also a reason why there are many genetic mutations related to Schizophrenia.
Some of the common signs and symptoms of Schizophrenia include confusion or unable to think clearly, false belief, less social and emotional engagement, believed that they are hearing voices even if it's not, and no motivation.
Schizophrenia patients also have a prior mental health problem such as anxiety disorder, and substance use disorder. The signs and symptoms come in a slow phase that often occurs in young adulthood and eventually last a long time.
