A new version of the iPhone 6 is set to surface in Asian stores, but Apple is keeping quiet about it. The said Apple product is the Gold variant of the iPhone 6 with 32GB storage which will be come available in Taiwan beginning March 10.

The unit is considered a special one, given that in 2014 Apple did not release the 32GB variant. During its launch, the California-based tech company only released the iPhone 6 with 16GB, 64GB and 128GB variants.

It is unclear whether Apple has direct knowledge about the promotion, but Taiwan Mobile stated in its ads that the Gold iPhone 6 with 32GB storage is a limited edition device. That means it will not be available in the market for a very long time. According to the 9to5Mac, Taiwan Mobile is currently accepting pre-orders and is also offering the device for "free" if customers choose to sign up to contract plans lasting up to 30 months.

Currently, the Gold iPhone 6 with 32GB storage is offered by Taiwan Mobile and no other carrier. The said device is worth $300 to $400 in the United States excluding the 32GB feature which was never made available in the western region. Interestingly, the Gold iPhone 6 with 32GB storage has been available in China since February.

For those who wish to avail the Gold iPhone 6 with 32GB for free, Apple Insider detailed the conditions of the contract. Taiwan Mobile will give away the Gold iPhone 6 with 32GB storage for a contract deal of NT$599 ($19) per month. But there is a catch, an outright downpayment amounting to NT$6,900 ($222) is required to avail the phone. Otherwise, a contract of NT$1,399 ($45) per month is required to get the unit entirely free.
