Google Assistant is a personal assistant that was developed by Google, and it works similar to Apple's Siri and Amazon's Alexa. Previously, it was exclusive to Google Pixel and Pixel XL, but now it is available on different Android Nougat and Marshmallow devices.
The rollout was announced last week. Google released a video advertisement which states that as of today people can start using the Google Assistant. However, Google did not say anything about which devices will be getting the Assistant. Some are fortunate because some already had the update for Google Play Services which contains the new feature.

The Google Assistant was announced during Google's hardware event in October 2016. Google Assistant is a smart AI assistant that differs from Google's predecessor, Google Now. It can book reservations, make lists, and answer follow-up questions. It provides a more conversational and personal tone than the previous version, something that Apple's famous Siri is struggling with.
Google's first intention was for it to be exclusive to the Google Pixel and the Pixel XL because it was advertised as a major selling point for the products. Google originally had no plans of sharing Google Assistant to other mobile devices. However, after months of exclusivity, the Google Assistant is now coming to other Android devices.
The Google Assistant will first be released to English users in the US, and then next is Australia, Canada, UK, and then German speakers in Germany, according to Google's recent press release. Google also said that the release of the Google Assistant would include availability to other brands like Samsung, Sony, Huawei, and HTC mobile devices.
