Destiny 2 News - Destiny 2 clean start! Age of Triumph! Year 1 Raids returning!
There's concern over Bungie's "Destiny 2" not hosting the player's character in "Destiny." While this seem to be true, it actually covers the characters progress in the game and not the appearance, race and class of the character. That means players can still use their "Destiny" characters in terms of appearance, but not in its performance. Some of the things that will not be included on the character migration are Eververse items, armor and weapons.

Prior to the release of "Destiny 2," NZGamer reported that Bungie will release one more live event for "Destiny" entitled "Age of Triumph." No confirmed date is set, but is expected to arrive this March. The Age of Triumph will introduce players to some of the Live Team members and update them with the latest development of "Destiny 2" as well as the content and activity updates.
In the official blog of Bungie, it said "Sequels represent the start of a new adventure for every player, with new worlds to explore, new stories to tell, new powers to acquire, new loot to earn, and much more. This led us to a decision that would enable us to serve both the game and the player's best interests: Destiny 1 power, possessions, and Eververse-related items and currency will not carry forward. They will, however, remain accessible to you in Destiny 1."
But Bungie is not ignoring the players who have invested their time playing "Destiny." Stated in the blog is its plans to award veteran accounts that shows their accomplishments in "Destiny 1." Take note that for players to be able to transfer their character to "Destiny 2," one must have reached level 20 and has completed the Black garden story mission.
