Android Headlines reported on Soundcloud's latest rework - the less expensive SoundCloud Go. The plan comes on top of the free music offer of SoundCloud and SoundCloud Pro for artists.
For a $4.99 monthly price, SoundCloud Go users are granted uninterrupted access to more than 120 million songs with an offline listening feature. A 30-day free trial is offered to new users. With an added premium, SoundCloud also offers a SoundCloud Go+ plan that raises the number of available songs to more than 150 million songs. The bundle plan costs a total of $9.99 monthly.
On the other hand, Pandora Radio's free listening includes stations that play a mix of songs with a limited number of skips that can be interrupted by ads. But Pandora's streaming service also offers Pandora Plus, an option that will make music streaming ad free.
Pandora's Plus option comes in a $4.99 monthly price tag which translates to about $54.89 annually. With Plus you get more skips to better personalize your stations and no ads. The Pandora site lists that complete roster of benefits from the Plus option.
Meanwhile, Spotify boasts of more personalization over its rivals. However, Spotify's plans comes at a slightly higher price. A free Spotify plan similar to Pandora is available on mobile and the web version increases personalization.
Spotify Premium, on the other hand, allows downloading songs on playlists for offline listening. Other perks include no ads and better sound quality. Spotify Premium comes with a $9.99 monthly price tag. A Premium Family Plan for up to six users is offered at $14.99 per month.
While each platform essentially does the same thing, variations should be carefully considered. And of course, price always plays a big role.
