A newly leaked wallpaper claimed to belong to the highly anticipated OnePlus 5 has been making the rounds on the net recently. If this is proved to be legit, this could mean that the release of the smartphone, dubbed as iPhone 7 killer, is imminent and right around the corner.
Prolific leaker Evan Blass has posted on his Twitter a quite intriguing image, which he captioned, "You know what this means, don't you?" Apparently, the said picture is an all new wallpaper that has not been seen before in any of the OnePlus smartphones. Thus, it is assumed to be designed for OnePlus 5.

It has been notably a tradition of the company to tease gadget aficionados with impending release of its upcoming phones with a collection of new wallpapers. So far, for OnePlus 5, the Chinese phone maker has not yet officially unveiled such or even confirmed its next flagship as of yet.
Blass is not saying either that it imperatively the one for the rumored device. But he has already made a reputation of being a reliable source of leaks and there's a high possibility that it's a real thing.

By looking at the resolution of the image, it shows a a full HD 1080 display, Go Android noted. This a no brainer for OnePlus users since all its flagship devices boasts 1080p screens.
In addition, pundits say that the volacanic lava depited in the wallpaper could also imply a sturdier build. Earlier reports indicated that the device will be clad with ceramic body similar to Xiaomi' Mi Mix.
It can be recalled that last year, OnePlus opted to launch a variant of OnePlus 3 called OnePlus 3T. And for this year, many tech enthusiasts are speculating that the next iteration in the series will arrive as OnePlus 5 instead of OnePlus 4. There is a Chinese belief that the number spells out bad luck, hence it's replaced with number 5.
