Blizzard Entertainment announced that Orisa is the latest character to join "Overwatch's" roster this month.
"Overwatch" director Jeff Kaplan has some bad news for fans waiting for the new hero Orisa. The mobile tank character will be on Public Test Realm for a while as the "Overwatch" team is still fixing a lot of issues.
Last Mar. 2, "Overwatch" announced that the new hero "Orisa" is the latest character to join its popular team-based competitive shooter. Orisa is the third character to be added to the "Overwatch" post-launch after the release of Ana last summer and Sombra in the fall. While Orisa is already live on the PTR, the new "Overwatch" hero may not be launched in the full game until later in March, according to IGN.

"We're getting great feedback and fixing a lot of issues," Kaplan told reporters. "I know this feels a little longer than other PTR periods, but we think it will be for the better."
Orisa has already seen changes on the "Overwatch" PTR since her introduction earlier this month. In fact, an update was released on Wednesday that lowered the size of her weapon and increased the cost of her Ultimate.
"We know how anxious you all are to have Orisa join your ranks... and she will soon... but most likely she will go live later in the month rather than this early," Kaplan added. Orisa is a Tank class character who protects her teammates, befitting the hero's origin as a security robot in the "Overwatch" universe. Her character comes after a mercifully short teaser campaign which introduced fans to 11-year-old scientist Efi Oladele, the Verge reported.
Efi is inspired to build Orisa out of the pieces of an OR15 defense robot after witnessing an attack by Doomfist. In the "Overwatch" world, Doomfist is one of the most notorious villains. Orisa's primary weapon is the Fusion Driver that functions as a machine gun and has an alternative fire mode. Her Protective Barrier ability is similar to Reinhardt's shield or Winston's bubble and can place it away from hers to shield allies.
Finally, Orisa's Ultimate is Supercharger that allows her to provide damage boost for all allies within line of sight. Fans of "Overwatch" will have to wait for a few more weeks to witness and play new hero Orisa in full action.
