This year's Intel Extreme Master Katowice grand finals was a match between FaZe Clan and Astralis. Although this would was the second "Counter Strike" 2017 tournament victory for the Danish favorite, the journey towards success was not easy for the team.
In a particular round, Astralis team member Peter "Dupreeh" Rothmann displayed his gaming skills in using only pistols to capture a crucial round for his team, according to Mashable. Dupreeh's performance and pistol prowess were elevated to a status of the best play of the tournament, if not the best play of 2017.
In its entirety, the game was not that easy for the winning team. During the first map of the match, the Danish team lost five of their first six rounds, according to Segment Next. As a result of the deficit, the team only managed to afford pistols to fight against FaZe Clan's submachine guns and rifles.
However, despite the opponent's superior weaponry, Dupreeh did not waver and displayed his superior gaming skills. He aggressively attacked two players using only a handgun for his first kill in the said round.
The round was not only monumental for Dupreeh but also for his team. Apart from gaining cash for rifle purchase, his heroic act also inspired his teammates. At the end of the "Counter Strike: GO" tournament, Astralis took home the$100,000 prize.
