'Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' Guide: How to get the Master Sword (YouTube)
A key object in "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" and in the franchise itself, the Master Sword is not that easy to obtain. It is possible to finish the game without it, but it will prove to be helpful in Link's quest, so it is best to find it as soon as players can.
But first, the legendary sword has a requirement. Players have to have at least 13 permanent hearts before they can even think about finding it, which means newcomers to the game will have to pour some effort first. In "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," this can be achieved by getting Spirit Orbs and defeating the four Divine Beasts, GameZone reports.

Once players have 13 hearts, it is time to visit the Greak Deku Tree. The tree sits in the Korok Forest, which is surrounded by the Lost Woods, Lake Saria and Mido Swamp. All players have to do is to enter the Lost Woods and follow the direction to which the torch embers are blowing, USGamer revealed.
Following this trick, players will find themselves in the Korok Forest in no time. If players lose their way, they will have to go back to the starting point.
Players will immediately spot the Master Sword just sticking out from the ground. If Link has at least 13 permanent hearts, he can easily claim it by pulling it out of the stone. Tricks to get more hearts such as giving him a temporary heart via a recipe will not work.
The sword is unbreakable, and the only weapon in the game that is, but it has to be recharged once in a while. It deals 30 damage and can be extremely useful in Link's fight with Ganon at the end of "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."
