So far, the gaming console is scheduled to arrive on the market by late 2017. But fans can now start to place their pre-purchase and register for information directly from the official pre-order page for Project Scorpio.
The powerhouse features of the upcoming console can be found on the pre-order page. It confirms that the gaming gadget will boast OF 4K gaming capabilities and Virtual Reality support. Moreover, Xbox Scorpio will have six teraflops GPU power and will be compatible with Xbox One games and other accessories.
The device is expected to challenge the rival PS4 Pro that currently tolls at 4.2 Teraflops. According to Microsoft, the PS4 Pro would not suffice to deliver true 4K contrary to the six Teraflops of its next console, which aims to hit higher.
In related news, Microsoft has also launched a new program that would ramp up the sales of Project Scorpio and entice gamers to switch to Xbox consoles. The subscription service will be activated around late spring.
The Xbox Game Pass will offer players unlimited access to Xbox One and Xbox 360 compatibility games for only $9.69 per month. "Halo 5: Guardians," "Payday 2," "Mad Max," and a lot more will be among the 100 titles available for this new service.
"One of the best things about Xbox Game Pass is that you can discover and download the full titles directly on your Xbox One," Microsoft announced in an official blog post.
