The LG K8 2017 smartphone has made its debut in the U.S. as the cheapest Android Nougat phone from US Cellular. It is priced at only $50, making it a very affordable handset to replace the LG K8 2016.

The LG K8 2017 was previously released under the name LG Aristo via T-Mobile and MetroPCS in silver and blue color. It is sold by T-Mobile at a market price of $144 with better specs compared the new variant. It is cheapest at MetroPCS since it offers at $59 after rebate.

Meanwhile, US Cellular is selling the LG K8 2017 only in blue color via the company's website. After a $100 online discount, it can be purchased for exactly $49.99 on prepay or for as low as $5 per month over 30 months. Other installment plans are $7.50 per month over 20 months and $6.25 over 24 months.

The LG K8 2017 is expected to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, making it second Nougat phone from US Cellular after the expensive LG V20 smartphone. It has a 5-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection from further scratches.

The LG K8 2017 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.4 GHz. It comes with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be further extended to a maximum of 32GB via a microSD or microSDHC card. 

The LG K8 2017 features an 8-megapixel camera at the back with LED flash, autofocus, zero lag, and support for high-definition recording of 1080p videos. It also carries a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. It supports LTE and is packed with a 2500 mAh removable battery.
