Psyonix has sold over 10.5 million copies of "Rocket League" with millions of registered players around the world. Despite that, the developer does not have any plans for a sequel for its vehicular soccer video game.
This new sales milestone of "Rocket League" was announced by Psyonix's Vice President Jeremy Dunham with Kinda Funny Games. According to PVP Live, Dunham said that the game has raked in about 29 million registered players and has sold over 10.5 million copies.

Despite the game's huge success, the vice president stated that they have no plans to make a sequel, but they will focus on improving the existing game. The 29 million players include both the split screen players and those who got free copies from PlayStation Plus when they purchased a premium subscription back in July 2015.
"Rocket League" is just less than two years after on the market and the number of its fans continue to grow at a very fast pace. According to Dunham, about one-fourth of the registered players are from last month. This is one reason why there are no plans to make a sequel.
"Why would we want to take this huge community that we've already built, that's still growing," said Dunham. True to its promise, Psyonix enabled the game to support PS4 Pro, allowing it to run at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second.
The promised update went live on February 21 making it run on PS4 at 1080 pixels and 4K on PS4 Pro in all arenas for the single-screen and two-player split-screen modes. In addition, the three and four-player split-screen modes let players view 60 frames per second on their screen.
According to the PlayStation Blog, Psyonix has promised that the PS4 Pro update is just the first of many planned content. The said update also brings new graphic optimizations, bug fixes, and premium contents. However, the development team still has to hear from the players about their feedback on the said update.
"Rocket League" currently supports PS4, Xbox One, OS X, Linux, and PC.
