According to reports, the iMac 2017 could possibly be having a VR feature. Apple remains quiet about the claims but a new rumor proposes a more interesting feature that will get people excited.

The statement by Tim Cook in an interview seems to stay in the faithful minds that desktop continues to be important to Apple. However, Cook did not accurately mentioned iMac but he did mention about a 5K Retina-class iMac which was already an old harware that was lacking an update.
Analysts were quick on coming up with their own analysis on why Tim Cook's answers were such in a cautious manner. It seems that Apple has mixed the macOS and iOS engineering teams into one department. Moreover, Apple is not making the Mac a major priority compared to iPhones and iPads that Apple's bread and butter, according to Bloomberg.
According to reports by MacWorld, Apple may be switching to a new hybrid OS, a fusion between iOS and macOS. Since apps from iOS are getting more extents than the macOS, it would be sensible if Apple decides to launch this hybrid OS in the upcoming iMac 2017.
In other news, the next iMac is doubted to be VR capable according to analyst Nate Mitchell. Mitchell claims that VR is not Apple's main priority as of now. Nevertheless, the iMac could possibly feature AMD Ryzen which can be fit for a VR-ready computer.
All seems to be very promising but let us not forget that Apple made the iMac not for gaming. It was designed for graphic artists for their high creativity and providing professionals with productivity tools. However, the March event is slowly approaching and let's hopes Apple will bring and deliver a surprise to all of its devotees.
