The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is one of the most popular midrange smartphones. The Motorola Moto G5 Plus has debuted to take on the Redmi Note 4. Here is a comparison between the two smartphones on the basis of their specifications, features, and price.
Design and Display

The Redmi Note 4 has a metallic chassis that measures 151 x 76 x 8.5 mm and its weight is 165 grams. It comes in colors like Gray, Gold and Black. The Moto G5 Plus also sports a metal body that measures 150.2 x 74 x 7.7 mm. Its color variants are Lunar Gray and Fine Gold. Both smartphones are equipped with full HD IPS LCD display. The Note 4 has a 5.5-inch display whereas the Moto G5 Plus has 5.2-inch screen.
Chipset, RAM and Storage
Both smartphones are fueled by Snapdragon 625 chipset. The Redmi Note 4 comes in several storage versions. The 32 GB model comes in 3 GB and 2 GB RAM variants and its 64 GB model has 4 GB of RAM. The 16 GB storage Moto G5 Plus has 3 GB of RAM whereas its 32 GB model has 4 GB of RAM. Both the smartphones feature microSD card slot.
Camera, Software and Other Features
The Redmi Note 4 has a 13-meaipxel f/2.0 aperture lens on the rear panel that is equipped with dual-tone LED flash. It has a 5-megapixel frontal camera. The Moto G5 Plus has a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and dual-LED flash. It also features a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. Both phones can shoot full HD videos at 30 fps, The Financial Express reported. It is loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS customized with MUI 8.0. The Moto G5 Plus comes with a stock edition of Android 7.0 Nougat. Both phones are equipped with fingerprint scanners.
Battery and Price
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has a 4,000 mAh battery whereas a 3,000 mAh battery is present inside the Moto G5 Plus. The Redmi Note 4's 32 GB / 3 GB model is priced at Rs. 9,999 ($152). The 32 GB / 4 GB and 64 GB / 4 GB models are priced at Rs. 10,999 ($165) and Rs. 12,999 ($198), respectively. The 16 GB Moto G5 Plus is priced at Rs. 14,999 ($228) and its 32 GB variant costs Rs. 16,999 ($259), News 18 reported.
