PlayStation 4 Update
With the recently launched PlayStation 4 update, the 4.50 version, Wi-Fi issues have reportedly been observed. As a result, several users have raised their concerns.
How could these issues be addressed? Has Sony already released any statement acknowledging the reported woes following their update?

Accordingly, the console's firmware update has caused owners to have difficulty accessing a Wi-Fi network. While they were reportedly happy that the upgrade has provided external hard drive support to install games, "a serious network connection issue" has been noted as well.
Aside from failure to connect to a Wi-Fi network after the PlayStation 4 update has been installed, some users have complained about being told by the system that the Wi-Fi password they entered is incorrect. The system displayed the error code NW-31297-2. This should not be the case since they keyed in the right password.
Connecting to the Internet
It was revealed that when users would connect to the internet via a wired connection, the attempt has been successful. This means that using an Ethernet cable connection to go online is one solution to the problem.
Another way to get connected is to remove the password of the Wi-Fi network. By doing so, PlayStation 4 owners can already get online amid the firmware update. This was further explained that the 802.11 N in the Wi-Fi router must be turned off. Instead, the B / G set-up will be the only one to be used.
Despite the reported Wi-Fi woes that the recent upgrade has reportedly brought, Sony is said to have not issued any statement yet acknowledging the scenario.
While connecting to an Ethernet cable and removing the Wi-Fi password have been regarded as the only available way to resolve the issue, it was still pointed out that this is not a long-term solution. Therefore, the company should present a solution to this particular PlayStation 4 update issue.
